We offer half hour treks for those who would just like a short experience on a horse, you can be lead if required which is a relaxing way to see the wonderful views of Newport Mountain.
We also offer an hours ride, an average trek for beginners or an hour and a half for those that can trot and possibly canter.
The more experienced who want to go a little faster can join a 2 hour trek or even longer depending on availibility, we offer treks accross bridle paths and sheep trails to follow and explore Carningli “the Angel Mountain.”
Cream Tea Rides
Experienced rider?. We offer a longer ride to Penlan Uchaf Gardens in the Gwaun Valley, where you can tour the gardens, enjoy cream tea or visit the farm shop where you can purchase they’re own Longhorn Beef or home reared Welsh Lamb.
For the experienced rider, we offer a 3 hr+ pub ride to the one and only Dyffryn Arms or locally known as Bessies in the Gwaun valley. We have an hour and a half ride to Bessies following bridle paths and mountain tracks. We then refresh at Bessies, a traditional welsh pub that is hidden away but never forgotten. After re-mounting we head along the valley and up through a bluebell woods and head for home again. The trek includes very little roadwork, only pleasant countryside to explore. A camera is a must for this one!
Our evening treks are an ideal way to spend a summers evening where horses and riders can have a pleasant cool ride rather than on a hot afternoon.
We can tailor these rides to an individuals request taking in pubs, country tracks, mountain views and even beaches (depending on the riders ability and experience).
